By trade I am a freelance interior designer, a licensed cosmetologist, a part-time nanny-of-sorts and a returning college student. Within each of these respective fields I am no one of any consequence but I am abundantly grateful for the opportunities I've had to serve people through the gifts God has given me. And I am even more grateful that I'm able to do each day, the things that I enjoy and that give me a chance to enjoy others. In addition to these "professions" I also enjoy painting, reading, baking, music and discipling high school girls.
This blog is my place to document the journey I am on as I give my life to love others as I have been loved. I will make countless mistakes along the way and I will choose myself over Christ more times than I like to think. And in turn I will often forget that there is grace for that. But I can boast in nothing but the cross and its the cross that grants me steadfast forgiveness so that I may try again. To love the unlovely, to defend the cause of the fatherless, to encourage the oppressed, to feed the hungry, to loose the chains of injustice and to set the captives free.
